Riyaadh is the Head of Risk & Regulation at Yoco, an African technology company that builds tools and services to help small businesses get paid, run their business better, and grow. Yoco offers card payment acceptance, software-driven business tools and working capital. Riyaadh is a respected financial services expert with experience in investment banking, global markets and financial technology. Before joining Yoco Riyaadh was the youngest senior manager at Nedbank Corporate & Investment Bank where he built and oversaw its New Regulatory Affairs function. At JUMO, where he later worked, he established and ran the regulatory and compliance functions across 7 countries before being appointed JUMO’s Head of Environmental, Social Impact & Governance (ESG) and Stakeholder Engagement. He holds various degrees in law, banking, finance and credit and has helped form and develop industry-leading regulatory strategies for financial services providers in Africa and Asia. At Yoco, his responsibilities now include the development and execution of Yoco’s regulatory, licensing and risk strategies across the various product and service offerings. Riyaadh has also served as an assessor to the students undertaking the study of Regulatory Theory, Strategy and Practice at LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science).
