Phillip Kagucia – Advocate, Assistant Director and Head of Communication at EACC is an Advocate with over 15 years experience in civil litigation and asset recovery. He joined EACC in 2010 having been in private practice for 5 years. He is also a trained investigator and in 2017, he became the first lawyer in the history of Kenya to successfully argue cases on forfeiture of unexplained wealth. He has been a trainer on the Anti-Corruption legal framework in support of EACC's prevention mandate. Mr. Kagucia played a prominent role in the establishment of the National Integrity Academy which is the training arm of the EACC. Currently, he is the Head of Communication at EACC and holds a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Laws degree from Northumbria University in the UK. He is pursuing a second Masters Degree in Anti-Corruption Studies at the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Vienna, Austria.
